It can be paperwork, confusion and arguments, or clarity, peace and provision. A will, a trust and one honest conversation turn your love into a plan. Don't leave the people you love a puzzle. Leave them a path.
Wisdom
Most families aren't torn apart by money. They're torn apart by silence. When nobody knows what you wanted, everybody assumes, and assumptions turn siblings into strangers. Talk to your spouse. Talk to your children. Put your wishes on paper while your voice can still explain them. The kindest gift you can leave is an answer to "What would they have wanted?"
Spiritual Insight
"A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children." (Proverbs 13:22) "Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live." (Isaiah 38:1) Your soul has an appointment, and so does your estate. Where your spirit goes is between you and God. What your family receives is between you and your decisions. Faith prepares you for eternity, and stewardship prepares the people you leave behind. Get right with both.
